Become a VCUSD Volunteer

Make A Difference in Our Schools

 Hello Volunteer Applicant!

Thank you for your interest and consideration to become a Volunteer for the Vallejo City Unified School District. In an effort to increase our parent and community engagement, the District is changing the volunteer process to make it more efficient, user friendly, and accessible.

In order to complete the process in a timely fashion, you should verify that you have the required documents: a Tuberculosis (TB) Test Result, and a Valid Government Issued ID.

Once you have all the required documents, use the link below to complete the Volunteer Application. The application will require your TB clearance date to be entered in order to be submitted. The next steps will be provided by selecting the link that appears after you submit the application.

As a volunteer, you will need to complete a live scan for our District. A live scan is a background check that is processed through the Department of Justice (DOJ), which requires being fingerprinted. DOJ does not share information between school districts, companies or other agencies. The waiting time for your results depends on The Department of Justice criteria of research.

To check your status of where you are in the volunteer process, please ask the office manager at your school or district site, or you may send an email request to hr@vcusd.org.

You will receive a clearance letter via email of your results for your records. If you should have any questions, please contact Human Resources (HR) via the below listed source(s).
